artwork questions, answered

What size should album cover art be?

Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and every DistriBeats store require a perfect square of at least 3000 x 3000 pixels in RGB, saved as JPG or PNG. Artwork Studio always exports at exactly 3000 x 3000 px, so your release never gets rejected for size.

Is Artwork Studio free?

Yes. Designing and exporting 3000 x 3000 px cover art is free for everyone with a DistriBeats account — no watermark and no export limit. You open it from your console.

Does my artwork leave my device?

No. The editor runs entirely in your browser. Your background photos and the finished cover are never uploaded to a server.

Can I use this artwork for a Spotify release?

Yes, as long as you own or have cleared every image and font you use. The export meets Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music artwork specifications. Do not include store logos, URLs, social handles, prices or blurred/pixelated images — those get releases rejected.

What file format should I export?

PNG is best when your cover has flat colour, text or sharp edges. JPEG is smaller and fine for photographic covers. Both export at full 3000 x 3000 px resolution.

Can I add my artist name and track title?

Yes. One click adds a professionally styled artist-name line and track-title line, and you can change the text, font, size, colour, letter spacing, alignment and drop shadow.

Why does my cover look blurry?

Start from a background image that is at least 3000 px on its shortest side. Small photos stretched to cover a 3000 px square will look soft, and stores reject pixelated artwork.

Can I use AI-generated images in my cover?

Yes, cover art may be AI-assisted — DistriBeats only restricts fully AI-generated audio, not artwork. You are still responsible for making sure the image does not infringe anyone's rights.
