every DistriBeats plan, explained properly
DistriBeats now runs on three plan families: pay once per release and keep 90%, pay once a year and keep 100%, or start free. This guide breaks down every price, every royalty share and every included feature — lifetime release protection, a custom label name, 2-minute AI approval, free ISRC and UPC codes — and shows exactly how AI releases are priced to fund human musicians rather than compete with them on their own money.
The short answer
If you release once or twice a year, take DistriBeats PayOnce: ₹200 for a single, no subscription, 90% royalties, and the release stays live forever. If you release regularly, take Pro at ₹999 a year and keep 100% of everything. If you run a label or manage artists, take Label at ₹9,999 a year and release under your own registered label name. If you are just starting, the free Collab tier gets your first record out at ₹0 with a 60% share.

1. DistriBeats PayOnce — pay per release, keep it forever
PayOnce removes the part of distribution artists hate most: paying rent on music you already made. You pay a one-time distribution fee when you submit a release, and that release is yours, live, for as long as you want it live.
- ₹200 flat for a single, ₹180 per song for an EP (2–6 songs), ₹150 per song for an album (7+ songs).
- 90% of streaming royalties paid to you, on every store, forever.
- Lifetime release protection — no renewal, no annual fee, no takedown because a subscription lapsed.
- ₹0 takedown fee if you ever do want a release pulled.
- Free ISRC and UPC codes, delivery to the top stores worldwide, and priority support.
- Up to 10 artist profiles in one roster under a single PayOnce account.
- Console activates instantly — you only pay at the moment you submit a release.
- Royalty reports are fetched automatically from the delivery pipeline into your dashboard.
The comparison that matters: a subscription distributor charges you again every single year for a song you released once. Miss a renewal after a rough month and the catalogue comes down — playlists, links, streams and all. On PayOnce there is no renewal date to miss.
2. Annual Subscription — Pro, AI Pro and Label
Pro — ₹999 a year, 100% royalties
The plan most working artists end up on. Unlimited releases under a 24-release fair-usage policy, 100% of your royalties, free codes, smart links, an artist EPK and instant AI support. Fully AI-generated tracks are not accepted on Pro — that is what keeps the queue fast and the price at ₹999.
AI Pro — ₹3,499 a year, 100% royalties
The dedicated plan for AI-made music, with an extra high-quality fingerprint and review pass on every release. For eligible AI distribution payments DistriBeats contributes 25% to the Artist Compensation Fund through our partners while 25% goes to the infrastructure that keeps distribution affordable for everyone.
Label — ₹9,999 a year, 100% royalties, custom label name
Register your own label name at signup. It is locked to every release you deliver and displayed on stores as the record label, so your catalogue builds equity in your brand and not in a distributor's. You manage a roster of artist profiles under one login, release on their behalf, and see every release, invoice and royalty line in one place. Existing Pro members can upgrade to Label at ₹7,777 for the first year.
3. DistriBeats Free (Collab) — ₹0
A genuinely free way to get a first record onto stores. Accounts are human-reviewed before approval, the royalty share is 60%, and everything else — codes, stores, dashboard, AI support — is the same platform everyone else uses. Upgrade whenever the streams justify it.
How AI releases pay for human artists
Most distributors either ban AI music or quietly let unlimited generated catalogues in at the same price real musicians pay. Both are bad for artists. Generated music can be produced in effectively infinite volume, and infinite volume is exactly what clogs an automated approval pipeline and dilutes store and playlist trust.
AI music has its own simple pricing — ₹3,499 a year on AI Pro, or ₹400 / ₹360 / ₹300 per song on PayOnce AI Made. For eligible AI distribution payments, 25% goes to the Artist Compensation Fund through our partners, and 25% supports the infrastructure that keeps the platform affordable for everyone. AI creators get a clean, legal, well-supported route, and every AI release directly helps human musicians keep creating. Marking an AI release as human-made is a policy breach and is not refundable.
2-minute AI approval, and what actually happens in them
Every submission runs through the same automated pipeline, with no human in the path unless something is wrong:
- Metadata validation against store standards — titles, credits, songwriter legal names, genre and subgenre, ℗ and © rights lines.
- Artwork checks — JPG or PNG, square, 1500×1500 to 5000×5000, no logos or URLs.
- Audio checks — WAV, MP3 or FLAC, 30 seconds to 15 minutes, rejected before any screening cost is spent.
- Copyright screening of a fingerprinted sample against the DistriBeats copyright database.
- Approval in about 2 minutes, then delivery to stores after QC.
- Video and Dolby Atmos add-ons stay in Submitted status until a person verifies those files by hand.
Support runs the same way. Aura, our AI support desk, answers instantly in any timezone and escalates to a human when a question actually needs one — which is why there is no overnight ticket queue to wait through.

| Service | Entry price | Artist royalty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| DistriBeats PayOnce | ₹200 (~$2.30) per single, once | 90% | No renewal — music stays live for life |
| DistriBeats Pro | ₹999 (~$11) / year | 100% | Unlimited releases, 24/yr fair use |
| DistroKid Musician | ~$22.99 / year | 100% | Music comes down if you stop paying |
| TuneCore | ~$14.99 single, ~$29.99 album | 100% | Priced per release, per year on legacy plans |
| CD Baby | ~$9.99–$69 per release | 91% | One-time, but royalty share is lower |
| Amuse Boost | ~$24.99 / year | 100% | Subscription only |
| Madverse | ~₹1,499 and up | 100% | India focused, per-release tiers |
The structural difference is not the number, it is the model. Everyone else sells you a subscription and holds your catalogue against it. DistriBeats gives you a one-time option that keeps your music live for life, an annual option that pays you 100%, and a free tier that does not pretend to be anything else.

Frequently asked questions
What are the DistriBeats plans in 2026?
DistriBeats has three plan families. DistriBeats PayOnce is a one-time fee per release — ₹200 for a single, ₹180 per song for an EP and ₹150 per song for an album, with 90% royalties and no subscription. Annual Subscription covers Pro at ₹999 a year, AI Pro at ₹3,499 a year and Label at ₹9,999 a year, all with 100% royalties. DistriBeats Free (Collab) is ₹0 with a 60% royalty share for approved artists.
Which DistriBeats plan is cheapest for one release a year?
DistriBeats PayOnce is cheapest for occasional releases: a single costs ₹200 once, you keep 90% of royalties and you never pay again for that release. If you plan more than five releases a year, Pro at ₹999 with 100% royalties and unlimited releases (24-release fair-usage cap) works out cheaper.
What is lifetime release protection?
Every release you distribute through DistriBeats stays live for as long as you want it live. On PayOnce there is no renewal fee, no annual charge and no takedown when a subscription lapses — your music does not get pulled from stores because a payment date passed, which is what happens on most per-year distributors.
How do AI releases support real artists on DistriBeats?
AI music is fully welcome on its own plans: AI Pro at ₹3,499 a year, or PayOnce AI Made at ₹400 per single, ₹360 per song on an EP and ₹300 per song on an album. For eligible AI distribution payments, DistriBeats contributes 25% to the Artist Compensation Fund through our partners, while 25% supports the infrastructure that keeps pricing low for human musicians. AI artists directly help the wider artist community grow.
Can I release under a custom label name?
Yes. The Label plan at ₹9,999 a year lets you register your own label name, which is locked to every release you deliver and shown on stores, with a roster of artist profiles under one account. PayOnce accounts can hold up to 10 artists in a roster under a single login.
How fast does DistriBeats approve a release?
About 2 minutes. Metadata validation, artwork and audio checks and copyright screening run automatically through Aura AI and the DistriBeats copyright database, so releases are approved in roughly 2 minutes and delivered to stores after QC. Releases with a video or Dolby Atmos add-on stay in Submitted status until a human verifies the extra files.
Does DistriBeats take a cut of my royalties?
On Annual Subscription plans (Pro, AI Pro, Label) you keep 100% of your streaming royalties. On DistriBeats PayOnce you keep 90%. On the free Collab tier the share is 60%, which is what funds a ₹0 plan.
Are ISRC and UPC codes free on DistriBeats?
Yes. Free ISRC and UPC codes are included on every plan, including PayOnce and the free Collab tier. There is no per-code charge and no charge per store.
